IPL 2020: Players who have pulled out and their replacements
As the league kick-off within a week’s time, here’s a list of players who have pulled out of the tournament owing to personal or health issues, and their respective replacements.
3. Kane Richardson – Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
The Australian pacer, who was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 4 crore in the IPL auction last December, has opted out of the tournament to be with his wife for the birth of his first child to be born during the lucrative T20 tournament.
Adam Zampa has been roped in as his replacement. On Zampa, RCB team director Mike Hesson said he will provide quality and cover to Yuzvendra Chahal while giving extra options if conditions assist spinners as expected during the tournament.
Zampa will add to Bangalore’s already impressive spin department which consists the likes of Chahal, Washington Sundar, Pawan Negi and Moeen Ali.
