IPL 2020: T Natarajan produces an inch-perfect Yorker to disturb AB de Villiers' woodwork
AB de Villiers' 56 off 43 was the only bright spot in RCB's batting line up.
The IPL 2020 eliminator saw a power-packed contest between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The David Warner-led side registered a great victory over Challengers by six wickets to keep sailing in their IPL journey. Batting first, RCB didn’t get off to a great start, and even a decent score was looking out of their reach. Finally, AB de Villiers made a settled stand on the crease before T Natarajan stunned with his inch-perfect Yorker.
De Villiers tried his best to get something significant for RCB as he completed his fifty in 39 balls. However, Natarajan started looking dangerous from the very first ball of the 18th over only, where he dismissed Washington Sundar. His destruction didn’t stop here and went on to knock out Mr 360 also in the same over. Natarajan’s on-point Yorker baffled the great batsman and flattened the middle stump before he could even read the delivery.
Here’s how T Natarajan stunned AB de Villiers
The South African great added 56 off 43 balls to push the team forward but failed to get any support from the rest of the batsmen. It is not an often sight where people get to see one of the greatest batsmen get bowled like this. RCB batted first in the game, where they posted below-average 131 runs on the board. T Natarajan got two wickets for his team, and Jason Holder turned phenomenal as he named three important wickets to his credit.
Due to an ordinary target, the game was very much in the favour of SRH only from starting, but it went deep and got interesting towards the end. RCB spinners tried their best to keep the game very much alive, but SRH was also in the mood to finish it in their favour. The firm stand set up by Kane Williamson and Jason Holder towards the end took SRH over the line. Williamson’s half-century remained too essential in pushing the team towards the victory zone.
He was named as the player of the match for his brilliant efforts. After their decent win, SRH will next face Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals in Qualifier two of IPL 2020.
