IPL 2021: 3 Changes Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) should make to get back to winning ways
The Knights have lost two games in the IPL 2021 UAE leg and are yet to qualify for the playoffs.
2. Ben Cutting for Tim Southee
Tim Southee, an experienced campaigner, has not played up to his standards and expectations. The Kiwi bowler was initially taken as a replacement for the unfit Andre Russell, where he could compensate by bowling in the death overs. But he was expensive in the previous games and did not fit in as the right change.
The Australian all-rounder was in contention for selection, but he was not included in the first eleven. This player has good variations in his fast-medium bowling and his cutters in the slow-placed wickets at UAE could help KKR.
Cutting has to be the perfect replacement of Russell considering his all-round capability and bowling style. However the final decision on the replacement has to be taken by the management and it remains to be seen what decision they make.
