Imagine you are an opening batsman, and you have Jofra Archer and Kyle Jamieson running in at you in tandem. On one hand, Archer is quick and can hurry the batsmen with raw pace, and on the other hand, there is Jamieson who can get the ball to move and generate bounce with his extra height. It would be a combination that the very best in the business would not be comfortable with.

Also, when we analyze the Rajasthan squad, we find that they do not have enough depth as far as their pace department is concerned. They have Jaydev Unadkat, Kartik Tyagi, and Andrew Tye in their ranks, and these are not names that can send a shiver down the spine of the opposition. In the last season of the IPL, Andrew Tye featured in just one game for the Royals and gave away 50 runs in his 4 overs. And, even in the 2019 IPL edition, Tye picked up just 3 wickets from 6 games at an average of 77.67.

Jaydev Unadkat leaked runs last year in the UAE, going at an economy of almost 10 (9.91) runs an over. And, as far as Tyagi is concerned, he is just 20 years old and does not have experience under his belt. Tyagi still does not seem to be a finished product as well, and his numbers in the 13th IPL edition were not too impressive. In the 10 matches that Tyagi played in the 2020 edition of the IPL, he picked up 9 wickets and averaged a poor 40.78.

Also, Rajasthan have released 4 pacers ahead of the 2021 IPL auction, as the likes of Oshane Thomas, Tom Curran, Varun Aaron, and Ankit Rajpoot were all let go by the franchise. And that is why, in this scenario, the team that need Jamieson the most is the Rajasthan outfit.
