There are very few experts who will say that Mumbai should make changes in their squad while making up the team for the upcoming season. Having won the previous two seasons, there is nothing that Rohit Sharma’s team can not do on the field. 

However, having released several overseas stars, Mumbai can go for four new overseas players at the auction next month. Something which they lack as of now is a quality overseas spinner. And adding Mujeeb will solve the last issue in the puzzle. Mujeeb could play a supporting hand to Rahul Chahar and Krunal Pandya, who have been the preferred spinners for the defending champions in the past two seasons. 

In addition to that, Mujeeb’s ability to bowl with the new ball, also allows them to have Jasprit Bumrah fresh when the death overs come in the picture. With Malinga no longer in the squad, the bulk of death bowling will be done by Bumrah. So, opening the bowling with Mujeeb will be a good option for them.
