Kate Cross hopes to support CSK wearing jersey once IPL 2021 resumes
The caption of the post read, “A HUGE thank you to @cskfansofficial and @chennaiipl for sending me my first CSK shirt. When it is safe to start the tournament again, I can #whistlefromhome #Yellove #WhistlePodu #nandri”
During the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings, the cricketer showed her support to CSK, while her teammate Hurtley showed her support for RCB. Cross will be seen in action in The Hundred later this year, where she will represent Manchester Originals.
Cross also opined recently about the suspension of the IPL 2021. With the rising cases of COVID in India, the tournament was indefinitely postponed. There has been speculation that the tournament can resume in September but there is no official news regarding that.
Chennai Super Kings also faced a situation of crisis when three members of their contingent, including bowling coach L Balaji were tested positive with COVID. On Wednesday, it was also revealed that Chennai’s batting consultant Michael Hussey has been tested positive with COVID-19.
