It is a clash of teams with two contrasting starts – Chennai Super Kings who have won 4 and lost 1 so far in IPL 2021, while Sunrisers Hyderabad have lost 4 and won 1. Even CSK has a dominant winning record against SRH and is the team that has beaten Sunrisers most often. It would require a miraculous effort from SRH to defeat CSK in the first encounter at Delhi this season.

So far Faf du Plessis was the star with the bat and Deepak Chahar with the ball for Chennai Super Kings. And Ravindra Jadeja’s one of the best all-time knocks in the T20 format is a big boost to them ahead of the encounter against SRH. For SRH, Jonny Bairstow has been sensational with the bat as was Rashid Khan with the ball. Their middle-order woes have continued this season, and have hurt them more. They lost four matches, and each of them had a close margin, with their last match against DC being by the barest of margins.

Here’s a look at some stats and milestones ahead of the CSK-SRH IPL clash

1 – Suresh Raina needs only one more four to reach 500 fours in IPL. He will become the fourth player with half a-thousand of fours in IPL – after Shikhar Dhawan, David Warner, and Virat Kohli.

1 – David Warner on the other side, needs one more six to reach 200 sixes in IPL. He will become the eighth player and the fourth overseas player to reach there. Other overseas players to reach the milestone of 200 sixes in IPL are Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, and Kieron Pollard.

1 – Dwayne Bravo needs 1 more wicket to overtake Piyush Chawla and become the third-highest wicket-taker in IPL history. Only Lasith Malinga and Amit Mishra picked more wickets.

2 – Wickets required for Siddarth Kaul to reach 50 IPL wickets for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He will become the third player to reach 50 wickets for SRH after their long-serving bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan.

35 – Runs required for David Warner to become the first player to reach 4000 IPL runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

40 – Runs required for Warner to reach 10000 T20 runs. He will become the fourth player to reach the milestone – after David Warner, Kieron Pollard, and Shoaib Malik.

8 – Runs required for Vijay Shankar to reach 500 IPL runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad. While he reaches the mark, he will become the third Indian to do it for SRH after Manish Pandey and Naman Ojha.

1 – An in-form Faf du Plessis needs one more fifty-plus score to equal Michael Hussey for the third spot in most fifty-plus scores for Chennai Super Kings (18 each). Only Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni have more fifty-plus knocks for the team.

1 – Dwayne Bravo will become the first-ever overseas cricketer to feature in 100 IPL matches for Chennai Super Kings. He will become the fourth overall, after MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, and Ravindra Jadeja.
