Prithvi Shaw was in blistering form in the match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) side. The Delhi Capitals’ opening batsman scored a belligerent 39 off just 22 deliveries to rattle the Punjab Kings (PBKS) bowling attack. Shaw’s innings was studded with 3 fours and 3 sixes.
Apart from Shaw’s riveting knock, another sight also grabbed the spotlight. During his 22-ball stay in the middle, there was also an uncomfortable moment that he experienced. Off the last ball of the 3rd over, Shaw was hit right on his crotch and looked in considerable pain.
The ball was bowled at over 140kmph by Riley Meredith, and Shaw could not connect the ball with his willow. The physio came out to check on Shaw to see if everything was fine. And then, Shaw looked into his pants, and even gave a smile as well.

Prithvi Shaw in scintillating form in IPL 2021
The Delhi Capitals side is currently occupying the top place in the points table, and one of the main reasons for the Rishabh Pant led side’s successful run in the tournament has been the form of Prithvi Shaw. The 21-year-old has amassed 308 runs in the tournament already and has scored his runs at an average of 38.50 and a stunning strike rate of 166.49.
In fact, Shaw has scored 3 fifties in the tournament thus far and has been in cracking form. And, Shaw will be mighty pleased with his batting effort in the 14th edition of the IPL. Also, the 2021 IPL edition is the first time that Shaw has scored more than 2 fifties in a single IPL season.
In the 2020 IPL season, Shaw looked out of sorts, and could only manage to score 228 runs at an abysmal average of 17.54. Also, in the 13 innings that he played last year in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), he was dismissed for a single-digit score on 8 occasions.
Prithvi Shaw and the Delhi Capitals will next be seen in action on 8th May 2021 against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) side at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
