Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja lit up the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. He smacked five sixes and a four off Harshal Patel to churn out 37 runs in an over. CSK, thanks to his efforts, managed to post a brilliant total of 191 runs for the loss of four wickets after their 20 overs. Jadeja remained unbeaten on 62 runs off just 28 balls with four fours and five sixes to his name.

The left-hander came out to bat when CSK had lost two wickets in quick succession at the score of 111. Ambati Rayudu was in the middle and had not faced a single delivery yet. He scored only 14 runs before getting out and RCB had pulled things back superbly in the death overs.

At 154/4 after 19 overs, one felt that the Men in Yellow will finish around 170 at stretch. Moreover, Harshal Patel, the purple cap holder and the best bowler of the day for RCB, was to bowl the final over. But Ravindra Jadeja had different ideas. He took toll of the first delivery from the bowler itself smashing a six over cow corner and the pressure got to Harshal soon.

He erred in length again and Jadeja was up to the task smashing another maximum in the same area. By this time, the bowler had lost the plot as a waist-high full toss followed which incredibly went for a six. Jadeja was surprised but managed to hit it over wide long-on for the third six of the over.

Free-hit also witnessed the same result as the southpaw went deep in his crease to churn six more runs off a short ball. There was some respite next up but a sharp chance was dropped as well and two runs came. Things went back to normal off the next delivery as Ravindra Jadeja managed to hit another six. He clobbered it over deep mid-wicket and the finished the over in style with a four through the square leg area.

The all-rounder managed to eke out 37 runs equalling the record for most runs scored ever in the IPL as CSK finished strongly at 191 in 20 overs.
