Mumbai Indians are looking far from achieving the hat-trick of Indian Premier League titles, but the captain Rohit Sharma has been trying his best to motivate all his men to play out of their skin and try and finish as higher in the points table as possible. Having said that, Rohit uploaded a video with his wife Ritika Sajdeh, which made the hearts of netizens melt.

The Mumbai Indians captain was seen pulling a prank on his wife. In the video, which was shot by Rohit himself, the batter first showed that he had put chocolate in his hand and he went straight to Ritika but with palms closed. His wife thought there was something scary as he asked her to touch his hand and try and see what there is.

The post of Rohit Sharma became an instant hit among fans

Ritika firstly hesitated. Rohit tried to convince her to give him a fist bump. “Do you think I will scare you Ritika? I swear. Just fist bump,” Rohit said from behind the camera. The video ended with Ritika smiling after being pranked successfully by her husband. The two are currently in the United Arab Emirates, where Rohit is leading the Mumbai Indians.

For the first time in a few years, Mumbai doesn’t look all set for the playoff finish. After playing 12 matches, Mumbai have only won five games so far. Their next game is against Rajasthan Royals, who also have a similar track record going into this game. Kolkata have won six out of their 13 and look set for the playoffs due to a superior run rate. Mumbai’s only chance is if they can win their last two league matches against Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

After losing their last game against Delhi Capitals, Sharma said, “We are preparing very well. We are just not able to execute in the middle, a little disappointing. We just look to play the game we are known to; something’s missing in our game. We are not playing to the potential that we are known for. That is something that is missing in the UAE leg. Hopefully, in the next two games, we can come out and play the way we are known for.”
