By carrying the tag of being one of the best batting lineups, last year the KKR team was highly expected to reach the playoffs. But because of the leadership crisis, the team went completely downhill in the second half of the season. Few pundits also criticized the franchise’s coaching staff for not solving the KKR’s jumbled middle-order batting crises. However, in between them there stood the English skipper Eoin Morgan who will be now looking after the reigns in the IPL 2021.

The skipper can also be said as their strongest capped player as in the adverse edition itself last year, Morgan scored a total of 418 runs that too at an average of almost 42. With his left-handed batting along with a realm of white-ball experience being gathered from the global T20 leagues, Morgan is one of the best-accomplished middle-order batsmen in world cricket. With his vigorous stroke play, he can be a strenuous customer to handle if going. Although despite scoring more than 400 runs last season, the KKR fans would be expecting more from Captain Morgan.

In terms of their weakest capped player, yet again Karun Nair finds himself associating with this list. The Karnataka based batsman was last year KXIPs weakest link and as a result, he was dropped from the team. Even while captaining Karnataka, Karun had a mediocre domestic season where he mainly failed even to score a fifty. Although he has been getting starts, but the right-hander has been finding it elusive to convert them into a big score. However, getting bagged at a steal deal of 50 lakh, the KKR fans would be praying for a change of fortunes in Karun Nair’s batting form in IPL2021.
