It will be foolish to look beyond AB de Villiers when in search of candidates to send the ball the longest distance. The epitome of adaptability and innovation, there is no stroke that is missing in de Villiers’ book.

The destructive South African batsman has pulped the mightiest of bowlers in his IPL career and with an extraordinary ability to hit 360-degree, he is certainly one of the toughest batsmen to operate against for any bowler.

De Villiers stands second only to Gayle in the number of most sixes in the IPL, with 235 maximums to his credit from 169 games. The longest he has dispatched one in his IPL career is 111 meters, which came in the 2018 edition. However, for a man of de Villiers’ power, no distance seems beyond reach.
