Shah Rukh Khan, the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, got into a lot of trouble once in 2012, when his side had gone to play an away match in Mumbai. After beating Mumbai Indians in front of a packed Wankhede Stadium, their owner was found hanging around till late after the match. It was alleged that he was showing some of his kids and their friends around.

At this point, some police at the ground intervened. The Bollywood star had claimed at the time that the police had abused the kids and he lost it. After what happened was the headline of the next morning. Khan was as a result banned by Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) from the Wankhede Stadium for the next five years.

The ban got over in 2017, until which he was not allowed to enter the stadium even if his team was playing. The incident had invited polarising opinions about how the actor might have been drunk while creating the scene. Some also criticised the security and police who were at the scene and got involved in the altercation.
