Young opener Prithvi Shaw has made a huge impact for the Delhi Capitals ever since he was first roped in by the franchise. With his great knocks, while opening the innings, Shaw was instrumental in Delhi making the playoffs (in 2019 and 2021 seasons) and the final in 2020.

The youngster had amassed 479 runs from 15 matches and that is the reason why the 2020 finalists decided to retain him. Delhi Capitals have offered Shaw a sum of INR 7.5 crore compared to INR 1.20 crore that he was paid last season and it certainly shows the talent Shaw possesses with the bat.

The 2018 U19 World Cup-winning captain could have easily bagged a few more crores had he been released by DC. A lot more teams would’ve bid for him which would’ve earned him a lot of money.
