Another overpriced entity on the retention list of Sunrisers Hyderabad is Umran Malik. He is also a Kashmiri player to be retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad after Abdul Samad. The novice player has been retained for a whopping INR 4 crores and has just played three IPL matches.

Malik grabbed headlines in the last few league matches of the 14th edition of IPL as he clocked the fastest ball of 153 Kmph by an Indian bowler in the IPL. He has retained ahead of the fellow experienced bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

The 22-year-old player has not made an impact on the team except bowling the fastest ball in the league. He has an economy of 8.0 and has just two wickets under his sleeves. Most probably he would have not got this salary if he had gone to the auctions.
