IPL 2022: Best Uncapped XI across teams

The Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy has a message in Sanskrit inscribed in its middle which reads, “Yatra Pratibha Avsara Prapnotihi”. The message means “where talent meets opportunity”. The IPL provides a center stage for all the young budding cricketers in the country to compete with the well-established players in the world. Not only the young cricketers of India but IPL gives opportunities to the budding cricketers from all over the world. There have been some instances when players from other countries play IPL even before making their international debut for their respective nations. The likes of Jofra Archer, Marco Jansen, and Glenn Maxwell played IPL before their international debuts. The IPL is the pinnacle of franchise cricket. The 15th edition of the IPL will feature 10 teams. Every team has picked some talented and promising young stars who are doing well in the domestic circuit. The T20 carnival will be bigger than ever. The lad has done really well in the last few seasons whenever he got the opportunity to perform. Rahul Tripathi will join the Orange Army for the 2022 season as Sunrisers Hyderabad had successfully bought him at the auction. Tripathi started his IPL career with Rising Pune Supergiants. The aggressive batter has done some wonders in the league. He has an amazing record in the tournament and has got a lot of praise. Those extended cover drives have a unique class that determines how he is as a player. Tripathi has been playing the IPL for a long time now and he is still looking for his maiden call up to the Indian Cricket Team. 2. Yashasvi Jaiswal Yashasvi Jaiswal. He was spectacular in that tournament and he had indicated that he is going to have an amazing future. He has been with Rajasthan Royals for the last two seasons and that franchise is known for backing the youngsters. Rajasthan Royals decided to retain the batter for the 2022 season ahead of the mega auction. The Southpaw has been decent while playing for the Jaipur-based franchise. He has shown his potential in his performances both in IPL and in domestic tournaments. He represents the mighty Mumbai side in the domestic fixtures. Jaiswal has a bright future in front of him and the Rajasthan franchise will expect a lot of match-winning knocks from the youngster. 3. Dewald Brevis Dewald Brevis. The budding batter had shown glimpses of the great AB de Villiers in his batting. The Mumbai Indians successfully bought him for INR three Crores. The 18-year-old is expected to serve the South African cricket team for a long time. The player of the series in the 2022 U19 World Cup scored 506 runs in six innings at an extraordinary average of 84.33. Brevis scored two hundreds and three fifties in the tournament. He is the hope of all the cricket fans in South Africa. He will surely make his international debut very soon according to the cricket experts. Yes, it’s been talked about Kona Srikar Bharat. He was very impressive when he played for RCB in the 2021 season. The promising wicket-keeper batter will try to make his impact in the 2022 season as well. The keeper batter will play for Delhi Capitals in the 2022 season. Delhi Capitals will expect a lot from the Andhra Pradesh batter. Bharat played eight games for RCB in the 2021 season in which he scored 156 runs and he scored a gutsy 78 against Delhi Capitals. He has been an essential bloke for Andhra Pradesh in the domestic circuit. Bharat had an amazing 2021 where he also got the maiden call up to the Indian Cricket Team for the home Tests against New Zealand. Bharat’s skills can be very useful for DC. 5. Shahrukh was a stand-out performer for the Tamil Nadu side in the recent editions of the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. Anil Kumble has previously said that the batter has an aura like Kieron Pollard which is a huge statement. The middle-order batter was bought for INR 9 Crore by the Punjab Kings franchise at the mega auction. Shahrukh Khan is expected to make his international debut for India very soon as his name is regularly being considered by the selectors. His performance in the previous season was decent and he will be a vital cog for the franchise in the 2022 season as well. 6. Abdul Samad Abdul Samad. The Kashmir batter is one of the very few young Indian batters who can strike the cricket ball for really big sixes. Abdul Samad’s batting style suits the lower middle-order the most. He has the natural ability to hit the cricket ball hard. The 20-year-old batter was very impressive whenever he played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad side last year. The big-muscled batter hits big sixes effortlessly which is not common among Indian batters. Getting retained by any franchise is a huge honor for any cricketer in the IPL. And giving this pleasure to a young batter like Abdul Samad will boost his confidence and will make him hungry to win games for SRH. 7. Abhishek Sharma Abhishek Sharma. He has not played so many games in the league but he will surely get a longer run in the 2022 IPL season. Most of the IPL franchises were interested in him in the IPL mega auction this year. A few franchises were bidding continuously but in the end, SRH emerged with the highest bid. Abhishek Sharma was a member of the winning Indian squad at the U-19 World Cup in the year 2018. Before that tournament, he won the Emerging Asia Cup as a captain for India. He has the ability to perform at a big stage like the IPL. He is a fearless stroke player and is very reliable with the ball in hand. The franchise will want him to finish games for them and his contribution will be very valuable. 8. Benny Howell is an English cricketer who is mostly known for his services in the shortest format of the game. Howell made his domestic cricket debut a long way back in 2009 for Hampshire. He started his career as a red-ball specialist but he gradually changed into a match-winner in 20-over cricket. The 33-year-old is yet to make his international debut despite having good performances in T20 tournaments under his belt. Howell has a huge amount of experience in T20 cricket. He has played 144 T20s for various teams and has taken 158 wickets at a superb bowling average of 19.85. He has also scored 1913 T20 runs. He was bought by Punjab Kings for the 2022 season of the IPL. 9. Avesh Khan Avesh Khan. Avesh Khan finished IPL 2021 as the second most successful bowler. He had an amazing year both in IPL and in domestic cricket for his home state Madhya Pradesh. Avesh did a fine job for Delhi Capitals last season and the Delhi franchise was involved in a bidding war for him this year too. The brand new IPL team, Lucknow Super Giants bought him during the auction, and the reaction of Gautam Gambhir was enough to know how good Avesh is. He still has not made his international debut for India but he is very close to doing so. Avesh is currently with the Indian team to play the T20I series against West Indies. 10. Kartik Tyagi Kartik Tyagi. (Photo Source: IPL/BCCI) Kartik Tyagi is young and learning with every game he is playing. Kartik Tyagi will play for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2022 IPL season. Sunrisers have always been known for their strong bowling lineup and the franchise will be the best for him. He will spend time with the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and will learn a lot from him. Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings were also very interested in him. Tyagi represented India at the 2020 U-19 World Cup alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravi Bishnoi. We all remember that fantastic over bowled by him against Punjab Kings last season. The Mohali-based franchise needed four runs from six balls when Sanju Smason gave the ball to Kartik. He conceded just one run and ensured Rajasthan Royals won by two runs in the nail-biting encounter. 11. Noor Ahmad Noor Ahmad. (Photo Source: Twitter) The 17-year-old chinaman from Afghanistan has been a sensation in T20 leagues like BBL, CPL, and, PSL. Gujarat Titans bought him for his base price of INR 30 Lakhs. Noor Ahmad is a skillful wrist-spinner who can spin the ball both ways. Noor was a net bowler for Chennai Super Kings in the 2021 season of IPL. Noor Ahmad will now be a part of the most competitive cricket league in the world. The child prodigy from Kabul has played two U-19 World Cups for Afghanistan. He has represented T20 franchises like St Lucia Zouks, Melbourne Renegades, Karachi Kings, and Quetta Gladiators in various T20 leagues in the world. He has played 25 T20s and has taken 25 wickets at a bowling average of 28.16. Ahmad is quite different from the other chinaman bowlers and can cause problems to the batters with his guile.
