Few people would have predicted that the Sri Lankans would find bidders at this IPL auction apart from Wanindu Hasaranga. As the number one bowler finally landed into the RCB camp, players like Maheesh Theekshana found a home in CSK. Apart from that, Dushmanta Chameera was bought by the Lucknow Super Giants.

Wanindu Hasaranga has been dominating world cricket for nearly eight months. He is almost unplayable and is a street-smart cricketer. Hence, the fans will be hoping that he gets more chances this time around.

For Theekshana, it was a special occasion as the mystery spinner was bought by CSK for INR 70 lakhs. This was somehow a steal by the franchise. If needed, he can fill in Imran Tahir’s shoes.
