7) Rovman Powell
Rovman Powell might seems a harsh inclusion, particularly after his fiery display against the Rajasthan Royals. The West Indian smashed 36 runs off 15 balls, which included five maximums. His cameo gave Delhi Capitals a slight glimmer of hope to chase down the humongous total. However, apart from his knock against the Royals, Powell has failed to make an impact this season.
Against Royal Challengers Bangalore, the all-rounder was dismissed for a golden duck when his side needed him to bat through the rest of the chase. The top order did bulk of the scoring against Punjab Kings, hence Rovman Powell’s services were not required.
Mitchell Marsh has tested positive for covid-19, which means that the West Indian is likely to get a couple of more opportunities, until the Australian is deemed fit to play again. Powell needs to fire in the middle-order as the Capitals look to keep themselves afloat in the race for playoffs.
