Ambati Rayudu is one of the veterans of IPL, having been associated with Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings since 2010. The Chennai batter could manage just 15 runs in week seven. Against Delhi Capitals, he scored five runs off six balls, and could manage just 10 runs against the Mumbai Indians.

Rayudu was expected to start hitting big from the word go against Delhi, given the situation of the match. Hence, he cannot be blamed too much for that knock. However, a batting collapse against Mumbai Indians gave Rayudu plenty of time to build on his innings and take his side to a respectable total. However, he could not to that.

Moreover, Rayudu’s mode of dismissal against his former side was rather baffling as he seemed to be caught in two minds before edging the ball to Ishan Kishan, behind the stumps.
