The talented leg-spinner, who was even preferred ahead of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav in India’s 2021 T20 World Cup squad, has been in and out of form in IPL 2022. The Punjab Kings management was very happy when they successfully bought Rahul at the mega 2022 IPL auction.

The 22-years-old did well for Mumbai Indians and was an important member of the side. He has played 52 IPL games till now picking 55 wickets at a bowling average of 25.13. He has bowled some exceptional spells in IPL. His good performances in IPL made way for him to get India’s debut cap in 2019. He has played six T20Is for India.

However, Chahar has not been able to pick wickets during the middle-overs in IPL 2022. He has played 10 IPL games this year picking only 12 wickets. His economy rate is fine, but he is in the team to pick wickets. PBKS played only one game this week in which Rahul got injured and was able to bowl only nine balls in the game.
