IPL 2022: Predicting where each team will end up on the points table
Defending champions, Chennai Super Kings have had a horrific start to their IPL 2022 campaign.
8) Mumbai Indians
Mumbai Indians and rusty starts to the campaign, this is surely not something we are hearing for the first time. The five-time champions have a tendency of bringing out their A-game when it matters the most, and they might need to do the same this time around. Mumbai have lost both of their opening encounters, against Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals, and are placed 8th on the points tally.
Mumbai Indians have come out second during crucial junctures of the game. They were well in control of the game against the Delhi Capitals, but late cameos from Axar Patel and Lalit Yadav cost them the win. At one point in time, it looked as if Mumbai Indians were cruising in a 190-run chase against Rajasthan Royals when they started losing a cluster of wickets. Two key weaknesses in the MI side are their bowling attack and their misfiring lower-middle order.
