IPL 2022: Predicting where each team will end up on the points table
Defending champions, Chennai Super Kings have had a horrific start to their IPL 2022 campaign.
9) Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad received a thrashing from the hands of Rajasthan Royals in their first game, as they were handed a 61-run defeat. Sunrisers Hyderabad has assembled a pretty decent unit, with an Indian fast bowling core, and the batting order stacked up by overseas stars. Skipper Kane Williamson was dismissed for just two runs against the Royals, whereas, Nicholas Pooran was dismissed without scoring.
For Sunrisers Hyderabad to do well this season, they must ensure that the batting trio of Kane Williamson, Nicholas Pooran, and Aiden Markram chip in with runs consistently. There is no doubting Nicholas Pooran’s talent, but he has a tendency of being inconsistent, which might cost his side dearly. The Orange Army’s bowling attack remains their strength, but they were all over the place against Rajasthan, conceding over 200 runs.
