3) Delhi Capitals
Delhi Capitals have had an edgy start to this season. Their lower-middle order took their side past the finishing line against Mumbai Indians in a thrilling run-chase. However, the Capitals faltered in a manageable-looking chase against Gujarat Titans. This Delhi side is only going to get better as the season progresses, with the addition of David Warner, Mitchell Marsh and Anrich Nortje to the playing 11 in the upcoming week.
Warner has been a consistent performer at the top of the order in IPL over the years, and him opening the batting with Prithvi Shaw could signal danger for the opposition. Anrich Nortje, the South African speedster, will make the bowling attack much stronger, with the likes of Shardul Thakur and Khaleel Ahmed bowling around him. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav will continue to lead the spin bowling department. Hence, on-paper, Delhi is all poised for a top-four finish for the fourth season running.
