IPL 2022: Ranking teams based on the performance of their retained players

1. Gujarat Titans

Amazingly for GT, their complete team efforts have always sustained them at the top spot. Starting from their captain, Hardik Pandya has proven his worth to the franchise. Even the other two retained individuals have commendably stepped up to triumph Gujarat.

So far, Hardik in his 11 matches has scored 344 runs at an average of 38.22. More importantly by batting up the order, the cricketer hasn’t been reckless in his approach. Probably the only flaw in his batting has been not providing the finishing touches.

Perhaps in response to their leader, both Shubman Gill and Rashid Khan have also been the glowing stars. Gill in particular has played some important innings and currently averages almost 35. So far the youngster’s run-tally stands at 384 runs.

Nevertheless, even the other joint most expensive player of GT (Rashid Khan) has been their biggest match-winner. Both with the bat and ball, the Afghan spinner has dazzled everybody. His wicket count presently stands at 15 wickets from 12 games. All in all, some experts have also called GT a favourite to win the IPL 2022.
