IPL 2022: Rating performances of all teams in the first week of the season

6. Lucknow Supergiants – 6.5/10

The Lucknow Supergiants had a win and a loss in the two games that they have played. There were some positives for LSG alongside some serious issues to fix soon. LSG missed the two all-rounders and that was reflected quite clearly in their game. Nonetheless, Marcus Stoinis and Jason Holder will join their camp soon.

LSG played their first-ever IPL game against Gujarat Titans on the 28th of March. The LSG top-order collapsed quite early but Deepak Hooda and the young sensation Ayush Badoni built a good partnership and led LSG to a good total. They put 158 runs on the board but the runs were not enough to restrict the GT batters.

Gujarat won the game by five wickets. LSG then registered their first win against CSK, chasing down a mammoth total of 210. Both LSG openers – KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock – got the team to a good start while chasing and Evin Lewis finished the game. Lewis played a gutsy knock, scoring 55 runs off 23 balls, and he got a good partner in the form of Ayush Badoni.
