To start with, the biggest of their opportunities could lie in the novelty of the franchise. Since it is a brand-new team, not much can be gauged about their tactics or as to how they go about their plans, by the various think tanks of the opposing teams. Even though most of the players in the squad have been a part of the IPL previously, there is no prior data of them as a team that could potentially be exploited by the analysts.

On the other hand, the Titans, hold the advantage of having a much more detailed look into the other franchise’s strategies, past performances and numbers. Having not been a part of the league so far, they can slip well under the radar and go about their business with the lesser spotlight falling on them.

Also, the fact that this would be the first-ever outing for the team, not a lot of expectations would be riding on them compared to some of the more established teams. The Titans can take to the field without any burden of past performances and bring about a fresh brand of cricket only further enhancing the league. The IPL newbies have the chance to go out with a nothing to lose mindset which is very rare in such a competitive tournament.
