IPL 2022: Team hotels of all franchises in Mumbai

The IPL 2022 will officially get underway on March 26 with the last year’s finalists Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders locking horns at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The 15th edition of the marquee tournament will be a 10-team affair with two new entrants – Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants. 70 matches will be played in four venues across Maharashtra i.e. Mumbai and Pune respectively.

Meanwhile, this edition of the cash-rich event will also see the group format where all the participating teams will be placed in two groups each. As far as the venue is concerned, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided that the two-month-long tournament will completely be held in India itself. While all the members of the 10 teams will be staying in separate hotels in Mumbai, it has been reported that they will be accommodated in either JW Marriott or the Conrad Hotel during the Pune leg.

It must be noted that everyone associated with IPL 2022 including the players, coaches, support staff, match officials, broadcasters, etc. should undergo strict quarantine procedures before entering the bio-secure environment. They all must necessarily have a pre-travel RT-PCR test before leaving for Mumbai to take part in the competition. During their quarantine, the players will be tested on the first, third, and fifth days. Only on the successful completion of the testing on all three days will a player be allowed to make it to his bio-secure environment.

1. Kolkata Knight Riders – ITC Grand Central, Mumbai

The Kolkata Knight Riders will be accommodated at the ITC Grand Central which is located at the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road in Parel, which is one of the affluent areas in Mumbai. While the hotel has so many facilities to offer, it also offers a 360-degree view of the city.

Apart from the awesome city view, the KKR members can also enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and they can also engage themselves in many other activities that can be a huge stress-buster for them.

The spa, fitness centre and indoor pool sessions can boost the fitness level of the players both mentally and physically before and after a particular game.
