Jonny Bairstow, the fierce opening batter from England, made his way into the Punjab Kings for INR 6.75 crore. His tremendous batting skills caught the eye of the Punjab selectors, which earned him the contract. However, he has had a disappointing tournament so far.

Failing to live up to his reputation, he has been able to muster only 41 runs in the four innings he has played so far. He was picked up by PBKS in hopes of strengthening their top-order, however, he has failed to provide the much-needed support to the top order.

He was an integral part of SRH over the past few years before coming to PBKS and was the star player alongside David Warner in SRH’s title-winning journey in 2016. However, due to his lack of form and disappointing performance, he is proving to be the worst pick of PBKS in the tournament so far.
