In a batting-dominated game, it is quite important to keep the balance right and provide a strong chance for the bowlers to compete emphatically. To take a positive step in that direction, a bowler can be allowed to bowl an extra over if he has picked three wickets or more in the ongoing fixture.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal highlighted the case for the bowlers in a tweet by Aakash Chopra on awarding eight runs to the batters for hitting 100+ meters six. The veteran leg-spinner reckoned that the bowlers should also be rewarded with a single wicket if they bowl three dot balls in a single over to strike a balance in the game.

The cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash came up with a reply, saying that bowlers should be allowed to bowl an extra over if he manages to pick up three wickets in their spell. The 44-year-old former cricketer reckoned that it will be a perfect risk-reward as the batters will lose their shape in an attempt to hit big sixes to accumulate eight runs.
