Former India and RCB skipper also holds the record for playing the most matches for a single team in the IPL. Kohli has appeared in 223 games for the Bangalore-based franchise and he is the only player to feature for the same team since the inception of the league in 2008.

Kohli has played every single edition of the IPL with RCB in 15 years. No other cricketer has managed to appear for the same team as Kohli has achieved. MS Dhoni is in the second spot for playing 204 matches for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Notably, the Men in Yellow were banned for two years in 2016 and 2017.

Arguably the most loyal player, Virat would like to win the IPL trophy with RCB as the franchise has still not won a single trophy in 15 seasons of the league. The star batter would like to end that trophy drought next year in 2023, as the recently concluded 2022 season also ended up in disappointment.
