Gujarat Lions sneaked past the Delhi Daredevils with a 1 run win at the Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. After been put into bat first, GL scored 172/6 despite getting a brilliant start by their openers who scored over 100 runs in first 10 overs.

Chasing 173, DD never looked in the game till half way mark. However, Chris Morris’ brilliant hitting changed the game along with JP Duminy. However, some tight death bowling ensured a 1-run win for GL. Here we look at all the stats and records recorded during the game.

1 – Margin of runs by which GL won the game. This is the 6th instance of a 1 run win in IPL. 3 of the 6 matches that ended with a one-run win includes DD, they have been on the winning side once and conceded the game twice.

8 – Number of sixes Chris Morris has hit in the game. Among South Africans, only David Miller has hit more than 8 sixes in an IPL innings.

17 – Number of balls Chris Morris required for his fifty. This was the 3rd fastest fifty ever recorded in IPL and the fastest ever for Delhi Daredevils.
