IPL 9: Points table, Purple Cap, Orange Cap and fixtures after the KKR v RPS Match 45
IPL 9 is now getting towards its business end when all teams are closing in to get to the playoffs stage. Rising Pune Supergiants is the only team that is out of the race for the playoffs. All other teams have their chances to make it to the playoffs. RPS suffered yet another crushing defeat last night to stay at the bottom of the points table. Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, have moved up to the 2nd spot. Sunrisers Hyderabad are on the top of the points table with 14 points. Gujarat Lions are also on 14 points but with a poorer net run rate. Delhi Daredevils take the 4th spot with 12 points.
If Mumbai Indians win the match today against Delhi Daredevils, they will swap places with them in the points table. It is a must win match for Mumbai today to stay in the hunt.

Virat Kohli tops the list of Orange Cap with a lead with 677 runs to his name. The RCB skipper continued his excellent run of form and hit the 3rd century of the season during the match against the Gujarat Lions. He extended his lead over others with a lead of over 100 runs. Sunrisers skipper David Warner slipped to the 3rd spot 515 runs to his name thus far. AB de Villiers rose to the 2nd spot with a thundering century against the Lions last night. Rohit Sharma has moved to the fourth with 428 runs to his name and is followed by Rising Pune Supergiants opener Ajinkya Rahane with 417 runs.

Mumbai Indians pacer Mitch McClenaghan picked up a couple of wickets, in a losing a cause though, to extend his lead on the top with 17 wickets. Andre Russell bagged a wicket in the rain-affected match against the Supergiants to make his way to the second spot with 15 wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shane Watson follow in next with 14 wickets. Kings XI Punjab bowler Sandeep Sharma has moved to the 6th spot and has 12 wickets to his name at an impressive economy of 7. Mustafizur Rahman has the best economy rate among all the bowlers.
