IPL: Ranking top 10 jerseys of all-time
For any franchise or club, the designing of the 'jersey' remains a key activity outside the playing field.
1) Royal Challengers Bangalore- 2016
In 2016, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) became the first franchise to design two jerseys, one home and one away. It was the first time that the RCB jersey did not feature the famous golden stripes on the corners and around the collar area. The jersey was based in black on the top portion, with red occupying the rest of the area.
The sleeves were black in colour, which gave the jersey a dashing look. The black and red areas of the jersey were partitioned by a thick line of grey, which had black stripes in it. The collar was as intimidating as it gets, with a perfect blend of red and black used in layers.
RCB managed to reach the finals that season, losing to Sunrisers Hyderabad in a nerve-wracking run-chase. Virat Kohli was the player of the season in 2016, smashing four hundreds, and scoring more than 900 runs.
