Ireland completed an ODI series win against Zimbabwe as they took a 2-0 lead in the 3-match ODI series at home. After winning the first game by four wickets, the Irish team sneaked in with a 5-run win in Belfast to go 2-0 up. Openers Paul Stirling (52) and James McCollum (73) added 111 for the first wicket in 24 overs. Solomon Mire’s 4-wicket haul saw the home side lose movement as they kept losing wickets.

Keeper-batsman Lorcan Tucker scored a 51-ball 56 to push their total to 242/9. Zimbabwe got off to worst possible starts losing three of their top four batsmen for just 14 runs on the board. The middle and lower order batsmen kept the fight intact despite being seven down for 160 runs. Zimbabwe needed 15 runs from last two overs but only got nine while Tim Murtagh completed a 5-wicket haul.
