Irfan Pathan sets the perfect example in response to a fan on not being biased in the commentary box

Irfan Pathan has taken up a commentary and analysis stint with the Star Sports for the ongoing World Cup in England and Wales. The cricketer who bossed the proceedings with the ball on the field is also shining in the commentary box and even the fans are taking a liking to it. Irfan is currently doing Hindi commentary and has been spot on with his analysis in the mega event.

No wonder the fans are appreciating him on Twitter for the same. At a time when the cricket fans are not happy with some of the former cricketers’ commentary, Irfan being applauded is certainly an achievement which also highlights his understanding of the game having played it for a long time. However, when one of the fans while praising his commentary requested him not to praise the players from other country, Irfan Pathan’s response was spot on and has won the hearts with it.

Love and respect for Indian team

During India’s game against Bangladesh at Edgbaston on Tuesday, one of the fans praised Irfan Pathan for being the best bowler and a decent commentary. However, he also made his disappointment clear that he isn’t happy when the 34-year-old praises the other teams. “You’re a best bowler as well a good commentator but when you talk in favour of the other team, I don’t like it,” the tweet read.

Irfan Pathan was prompt in responding the fan soon and cleared that two teams are playing the game and it is not correct to be biased towards only one team. Moreover, one of the best swing bowlers India has ever produced also cleared that he has utmost love and respect towards the Men in Blue. “Love and respect Indian team but there are two teams playing the game right?” Irfan’s response read.

Irfans reply was absolutely to the point and it impressed the Twitterati. They backed him for the same and applauded for his unbiased commentary. Indeed, Irfan has been doing a great job with the mic in hand and the fans will be looking forward to more insights about the game from him as the World Cup is reaching its business end.
