Ishant Sharma, Kevin Pietersen and Yuvraj Singh in marquee list for IPL auction

Kevin Pietersen, Ishant Sharma, Dale Steyn and Yuvraj Singh are among the marquee list of players to feature in the auction for the 2016 IPL. Aaron Finch, Shane Watson, Martin Guptill and Dwayne Smith complete the eight player marquee list. The auction is scheduled to be conducted in Bangalore pon the 6^th of February.

Originally 714 players, the list has been trimmed down to 351 players with 121 overseas players. Of the total number of players selected for auction, 219 are uncapped by their respective national sides. Two players have been designated as associate players. Ishant Sharma, Shane Watson, Yuvraj Singh and Kevind Pietersen are among a set of players with a base price of NR 2 crore (approx $296,000). Ashish Nehra, Sanju Samson and Dinesh Karthik are among others with the same base price. Aussies Kane Richardson, Mitchell Marsh and Mike Hussey are among others having a top reserved price.

Following the release of Yuvraj Singh and Angelo Mathews, the Delhi Daredevils have the largest purse value. The Daredevils had signed Yuvraj and Mathews for $2.3 million and $1.1 million respectively. New franchises Rising Pune Supergiants and Team Rajkot are expected to join the auction this year.

The rest of the franchises will utilize their respective purse money to fill up the rest of their squad. Following is the purse remaining with the franchises who will be participating in the auction:
