Jacque Kallis bids adieu to International Cricket
Jacque Kallis the South African all-rounder and the best in International cricket decides to call it a day from national duties. Days after South Africa concluded its tour of Sri Lanka, Kallis who had already quit from the longer format; after a poor ODI series in the Island country he decided to call it off.
Though he will still continue to play T20 franchise cricket, for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League and for Sydney Thunder in the BBL. The day he bids adieu taking a look at his ODI career Kallis has 11579 runs in 328 matches has hit 17 centuries and 86 half-centuries at a mounting average of 44.36. Is the only South African batsman to have scored 10000 plus runs in ODI as well as test cricket. With the ball his wicket tally counts to 273 in ODI cricket and a bowling average of 31.79.
One of the most under-rated player has immense test as well as ODI record with the bat and the ball. “I am not retiring from all cricket as I have a two-year contract with the Sydney Thunder and, if possible, to help the Kolkata Knight Riders defend the IPL title we won earlier this year.
