Jason Behrendorff has a funny reaction on being compared with John Cena
Behrendorff certainly resembles Cena by the looks.
The Australians finally managed to turn the tables on after a resounding win over the host Indian team in the second T20I at Guwahati. The chief architect of the 8-wicket victory was debutant Jason Behrendorff, who wrecked through the Indian top-order claiming four wickets in his 4-over spell. The left-arm pacer bowled incredibly well with the right lengths on a wicket that offered assistance to the bowlers.
However, after the 4-wicket haul, Jason had to answer A funny question from an Indian reporter in the post-match press conference. The reporter asked the pacer about his resemblance similar to popular WWE wrestler John Cena. Behrendorff’s reaction to the comparison was a funny one as he replied that Cena is a bit bigger than him.
“No I haven’t. But from what I understand, he’s a fair bit bigger than I am. But yeah, I’ll take it. Sure,” said Behrendorff.
It is an unbelievable feeling
It was a night to remember for Behrendorff after receiving the Man of the Match award in only his second T20I game for Australia. “It’s an unbelievable feeling to be honest, to bowl four overs tonight and take four wickets, but mainly to get a win. To get the boys back up and about after a pretty tough time in the one-dayers, it’s very, very special,” added the pacer.
He got Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli with the deliveries that came back into the right-hander something the duo has conventionally struggled against. Two big wickets in the opening over and the Indian team never quite recovered and the middle and lower order that usually kicks in failed to bail the team out this time and they slumped to just 118.
“I was really happy with that. Few ones that I got hit to the boundary probably weren’t where I needed to be bowling. But then to get the ball up there, swinging the ball, hit guys on the pads and nick blokes off: those are the things we talk about in our meetings. To get the balls in those areas especially up front,” said Behrendorff when asked about his bowling plans.
