Jasprit Bumrah plays safe when asked to pick one hotter actress between Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone

Jasprit Bumrah is under high demand nowadays. Thanks to his relentless match-winning performances, the 25-year-old pacer has not only picked applause from the sporting fraternity but also in the world of celebrities. There are not many batsmen on the 22 yards at the moment who do not feel nervous about facing Bumrah. But for a change, the paceman was recently seen a little shaky when asked questions in a rapid-fire round by an anchor on a YouTube channel.

Sporting a yellow T-shirt, Bumrah was asked questions over his favourite players and also actors. One of the questions that the anchor hurled at him was to pick the hotter between the two Bollywood actors – Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone. The anchor also ‘warned’ him by saying “be very careful!” since Anushka is the wife of current India captain Virat Kohli. Bumrah has a very good relation with Kohli and he played it safe by naming Deepika. “It is not a safe option,” said Bumrah, leaving the anchor chortling.

Kohli was credited with Bumrah’s hat-trick made against the West Indies in Jamaica recently. The bowler had hit the pad of the batsman in his hat-trick ball but naked eyes suggested that it had hit the bat and pad. Kohli, who was fielding at the slips, believed otherwise and went for a review and it was seen that the ball had actually trapped the batsman (Roston Chase) in front of the stumps. Bumrah ended up with 13 wickets in two Tests and crossed the tally of 50 as one of the fastest bowlers.

Bumrah picks one between Alia and Parineeti

The anchor’s next bouncer at Bumrah was: “Who is more fun, Alia (Bhatt) or Parineeti (Chopra)?” To this, Bumrah said: “I have seen some pictures of Alia. So Alia.” The anchor then asks: “You like Alia?”

“I have seen her movies. So I can relate to it,” Bumrah responds.

Bumrah, who has over 200 international wickets now, has mostly played on foreign soil in his first year of Test cricket and has achieved sensational success. India next play a number of home series and the Indian fans expect him to deliver with similar intensity on the home turf.
