Jimmy Neesham puts up an awkward comment on Ish Sodhi's Instagram picture
Kids, stay away!
Ish Sodhi is currently busy playing England’s domestic T20 event. He is representing the Nottingham Outlaws in the tournament and his team has had a mediocre run thus far. They have won three games and lost as many matches, and are currently standing fifth in the points table of the North group. On Friday, Nottinghamshire played their home game against Leicestershire. The hosts won the toss and opted to bowl first and the decision backfired.
Leicestershire put up a massive total of 193 runs on the board in the first innings courtesy of Ben Raine’s 43-ball 83 spectacle with the bat. However, Nottinghamshire couldn’t sustain the pressure of the huge chase. Although they got off to a brilliant start with the help of a 30-ball 58 from Riki Wessels, they fell apart in the course of the chase and found themselves at 104/3 in the 12th over.
To their dismay, they were quickly reduced to 109/6 and made a mess of the chase. Although their bowlers Billy Root and Jake Libby played some handy cameos towards the end, it wasn’t enough and the home team lost the game by 17 runs.
Jimmy Neesham sees the funny side of Ish Sodhi’s picture
New Zealand spinner Ish Sodhi is one the most important members of Nottinghamshire. However, his performance in the game wasn’t too encouraging. He conceded 23 runs in two overs and picked up the wicket of Colin Ackermann. He managed to score five runs with the bat.
Just a few hours before the game, Ish Sodhi posted a picture on Instagram. He was seen encouraging his team and said he loved the support from the Nottingham fans. He wrote, ‘Come on #Outlaws !! Love all the support from the Nottingham fans!’. Although his intentions were good, little did he know that his New Zealand teammate Jimmy Neesham would find the funny and embarrassing side of it.
In the picture, it appeared as if Sodhi’s pant was quite a tight-fit one, particularly around his crotch area. Neesham was quick to notice this and posted a comment that is likely to leave Ish Sodhi quite embarrassed. ‘Nice p#n!$’, Neesham commented on the picture, which was actually quite funny.
