The other most criticised player that the Super Kings picked was Mumbai Indian’s, Harbhajan Singh.
Luck has been another factor for the franchise, and Karn Sharma has definitely brought on his share of luck to the franchise. The leggie made his debut in the 2009 season, where he played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the 2009 finals, Karn was unpicked and hence had no impact on the game.

In the successive finals that he took part, the leggie was an instrumental figure in the team’s success. Not only could the leggie bowl at a very steady length, but could also knock the ball long into the night sky. It was probably one of the biggest reasons that the Super Kings picked him into the playing XI for the finals. On the day, the leggie picked up the crucial wicket of the Sunrisers skipper Kane Williamson to tilt the match in the Super Kings favour.
With the leggie’s lucky streak, the Super Kings won the title for the third time and the leggie too ended up third time lucky with his third trophy in three years.
