Karun Nair is the Indian batter who has played me best, says Trent Boult
Karun Nair has played only two games for RR this season so far.
Deadly Rajasthan Royals pacer Trent Boult has said that Karun Nair is the Indian batter who plays him the best. He feels that his Royals teammate has the ability to face his deliveries perfectly and said that he plays him the best during the net session.
Boult has been a prolific bowler and has fulfilled his job to perfection – be it in the opening stage of the game, or during the finishing stages. His numbers are enough to speak for him. Talking about his numbers in India’s premier event, he accounts for 84 wickets in 70 games that he has played thus far.
Speaking to ESPNcricinfo, when he was asked which Indian batter has played him the best, he named his teammate Karun Nair as he said: “I haven’t bowl to Karun Nair in a game but he has the ability to pick any kind of ball I throw at him in the nets so at the moment I’m going to say, Karun Nair.”
Trent Boult and Karun Nair represent Rajasthan in IPL 2022
Boult and Nair stand to be the part of RR franchise in IPL 2022 wherein the former was released by Mumbai Indians while the latter got released by KKR. Talking of RR’s campaign so far, they have been moving in more than decent form so far. The 2008 IPL champions have won six games so far out of the total nine played and currently hold the third slot in the points table of IPL 2022, only behind Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants.
Talking of Nair’s most talked about achievement, he at the age of 25, went on to smash a triple century in his third Test in Chennai as he smashed 303*, becoming just the second Indian player to achieve that feat after Virender Sehwag. Nair was released by the 2012 and 2014 champions Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the IPL 2022 auction and was roped in by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.40CR.
