'Kidhar hai woh?' - Deepak Chahar asks about his fiancee to his sister Malti during IND vs NZ T20I in Jaipur
Deepak Chahar played his first ever T20I at his home ground on Wednesday.
India and New Zealand played the first T20I of the three-match series in Jaipur on Wednesday (November 17). The hosts won the game with five wickets and two balls to spare to take an early lead in the series. Deepak Chahar was also part of India’s playing XI and was playing on his home ground in the blue jersey for the first time in his career.
No wonder he was excited for the encounter and also hogged the limelight for winning the battle of cold stares with Martin Guptill in the match. However, yet another video has gone viral now in which Deepak Chahar could be seen looking for his fiancee Jaya Bhardwaj to whome he got engaged recently during the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
It all started with Deepak’s sister Malti Chahar tried to pull the leg of her brother during the 8th over of India’s fielding innings. He was fielding at the boundary line where Malti was sitting and she repeatedly kept calling him until the pacer looked.
He greeted Malti but kept looking for his fiancee in the stands and also asked his sister about her. In the video, Deepak Chahar could be clearly seen asking Malti about Jaya saying, “Kidhar hai woh?”
Here’s the video:
Not a great day with the ball for Deepak Chahar
Deepak Chahar didn’t have a memorable outing at his home ground with a flat pitch on offer at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. He was taken apart by the Kiwi batters, especially Martin Guptill, as he conceded 42 runs in his four-over spell. Rather, the pacer had conceded 40 runs in 3.1 overs but came back well to end his spell with Guptill’s wicket as well.
As far as the match is concerned, India were propelled by Suryakumar Yadav’s 62 and skipper Rohit Sharma‘s 48-run knock in the chase as they gunned down 165 runs in the final over of the innings.
