KKR ropes in former England wicketkeeper James Foster as their fielding coach for IPL 2020

Indian Premier League 2020 is just a couple of months away from its commencement and all the franchises are busy in giving a final touch up to their team. And on Monday, Kolkata Knight Riders, the former champions announced the signing of James Foster as their fielding coach for the upcoming edition of the cash-rich league.
Earlier, Subhash Deep the former cricketer from Assam was the in charge of the fielding, who was roped in by KKR ahead of IPL 2019. The former IPL winners are not in a mood to leave any stone unturned going into the upcoming season of the tournament. Now, it will be interesting to watch whether all the modifications will lead their side all the way to their third IPL title.
KKR makes a new signing ahead of IPL 2020
James Foster, bid adieu to international cricket in 2018 and picked coaching as his career. He played for England in as many as 7 Tests, 11 ODIs and five T20Is. He had an illustrious first-class career in which he managed to gather 11,371 runs with 23 tons and 70 fifties. After retiring from cricket, he has worked as a batting consultant for Glamorgan in 2019 T20 Blast.
The former was appointed as the Head Coach of Khulna Tigers in the Bangladesh Premier League 2019-20 and his side ended up being the runners up in that tournament. And, his successful stint as a Head coach might have helped in earning a contract from the former IPL champions. Now, he would be working alongside Brendon McCullum, who was appointed Head coach of the team. He replaced former South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis.
KKR have lifted IPL trophy twice in 2012 and 2014. After that, they have thrice managed to reach the playoffs but failed to lift the trophy on all occasions. Now, they are gearing up for the upcoming season of the cash-rich league that is scheduled to begin from 28th of March and the inaugural game will be played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. On the other hand, KKR will begin their campaign against Sunriers Hyderabad at Eden Gardens on 29th of March.
