KL Rahul’s rumoured girlfriend Athiya Shetty reacts after batsman’s Test ton at Lord’s
Rahul stayed unbeaten at the end of the first day's play in the second Test.
KL Rahul has had a dream run in the ongoing Test series against England. After narrowly missing out on a century in the first game at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham, the right-hander has been able to make amends. On the first day’s play at the Lord’s Cricket Ground, Rahul showed nerves of steel and stayed unbeaten on 127 runs off 248 balls with the help of 12 fours and one six.
The youngster was cautious to start his knock, but once the first wicket went down at the score of 126, he opened his shoulders. Rahul played out the opening bursts from James Anderson and Ollie Robinson after which he got the measure of the conditions. Playing throughout the entire day should give him a whole lot of confidence, going in the second day’s play on Friday.
In the meantime, Rahul’s rumoured girlfriend Athiya Shetty also reacted to the batter’s incredible show on Thursday. The Bollywood actress posted a story on her Instagram handle with a heart emoji. Her father and Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty also reacted to the knock. He wrote, “100 at the Mecca of cricket! Well played baba.”

This is probably the best that I have seen KL Rahul bat: Rohit Sharma
Rahul also conjured praises from Rohit Sharma for playing the stupendous knock at the Home of Cricket. Rohit, who missed out on his maiden overseas Test century, stated he has hardly seen Rahul bat this well. The 34-year-old stated that the Karnataka-born Rahul was clear in his mind and made the opportunity count.
“This is probably the best that I have seen KL Rahul bat. I thought he was very much in control from Ball 1. Till we finished the day today, he looked very much in control. At no point, it looked like he was confused or thinking too much, he was very clear about his plans,” Rohit was quoted as saying.
“When you are clear with your plans when you trust your plans, it definitely works. I thought today was his day and I thought he really made it count,” he added.
At the end of the first day’s play, India’s score stands at 276 for three in 90 overs. Rohit scored 83 while Virat Kohli managed 42. Cheteshwar Pujara failed yet again.
