Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal are shy of girls; Rohit Sharma disagrees
Rohit Sharma found Yadav and Chahal's claims difficult to digest.
After a thumping 4-1 series victory over the Aussies, the Indian camp is certainly a joyous one, and the players have been having fun mocking each other. Three superb performers of Virat Kohli’s team indulged in one such fun session, where the young spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal mentioned that they are very shy of girls. But senior team member Rohit Sharma was in no mood to accept such baseless statements, as Yadav and Chahal are quite the pranksters in the Indian dressing room.
Before the T20I action begins, opener Rohit had a chat with the new spin-twin for bcci.tv. The spinners might have trapped many world-class batters from down under in the recently concluded ODIs, but they have failed to replicate that in the ladies department. The partnership-breakers haven’t quite been able to form a partnership off the field, as they mentioned that they can communicate freely with the opposite sex only when they have known the girl for a long time.
“I talk a lot but when I see a girl, I cannot talk at all. I am shy of them. But if I have known them for four or five years, then I am comfortable,” said Yuzi, the 27-year-old leggie from Jind, Haryana, when Sharma asked him about his way of handling his female fan following.
While Kuldeep said he wasn’t as bad as Chahal when it comes to handling the female fans, he is also shy enough to back off from approaching a lady. “If I know someone, I can talk comfortably to them. Even I am shy (of girls). I have not interacted with a lot of girls because I was always focused on training,” said the chinaman.
Sharma’s verdict
Rohit Sharma was so amused to hear that the fun-loving personalities are so shy while interacting with girls that he came up with this statement: “Though the two players are saying they are shy, I don’t feel from any angle that they are shy.”
