Kuldeep Yadav's omission from the final T20I leaves Twitter bewildered
The chinaman is currently the leading wicket-taker in the series.
The ongoing T20I series between England and India is currently level at 1-1 and the final match is being played at the County Ground in Bristol. The Men in Blue started the tournament in a comprehensive manner with a thumping victory by eight wickets, owing to KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav’s brilliant performances in their respective departments.
However, the Brits made a strong statement and made a stupendous comeback at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. Prior to the current match, the Blue Army suffered a massive blow as Bhuvneshwar Kumar was ruled out and Deepak Chahar made his T20I debut. Nevertheless, during the toss, Virat Kohli sprang a massive surprise when he mentioned that Kuldeep Yadav won’t be a part of the eleven.
The surprise from Virat and Co.
Siddarth Kaul, following the second T20I in Malahide, got his second opportunity in India’s tour of the United Kingdom (UK). The decision was a tad bewildering bearing in mind Kuldeep’s recent form. In the first match at the Old Trafford in Manchester, the chinaman ripped the heart out of the English batting in with a five-wicket haul. He was introduced in the middle-overs and he didn’t disappoint.
He picked up the likes of Eoin Morgan, Joe Root and Jonathan Bairstow in his third over to set the cat among the pigeons in the English dugout. Such was his venom that the English team management was forced to bring forth a bowling machine by the name of ‘Merlyn’, which they once introduced to counter Shane Warne, in order to solve the 23-year old’s guile and trajectory.
The tactic somewhat worked as the bowler conceded 34 runs in the next match in Cardiff and also didn’t pick up any wicket. Meanwhile, Twitter is highly dissatisfied with Kuldeep’s omission from the eleven
