Latest IPL 2020 Points table, Orange and Purple Cap holders after RR vs CSK game
After CSK vs RR game, Delhi remain at the top position on the points table.
The 37th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) saw Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals locking horns with each other. Chasing a super easy target, RR cantered home with seven wickets in hand. The three-time champions failed yet again to find the correct combination and tactics. Batting first, Chennai posted a below-average score of 125 on the board as their innings never had any momentum.
Jos Buttler was named as the player of the match for his tremendous match-winning knock (70 off 48). MS Dhoni (28 off 28) and Ravindra Jadeja (35* off 30) were able to gather some handful runs for the team. The bowling show of Rajasthan was strong enough to trap opponents. Shreyas Gopal came up with a terrific economy of 3.50 to get a scalp on his name. Rahul Tewatia also remained economical for RR and got one wicket under his belt.
Buttler got more than half runs for RR alone
Rajasthan stumbled during the start of their chase when they came up to hunt an ordinary total in Abu Dhabi. They were reeling at 28/3, but the partnership between Steve Smith and Jos Buttler finished the game for them effortlessly. Smith added 26 runs from his end to get the team going. Deepak Chahar remained the saviour of CSK with the new ball again as conceded just 18 runs off 4 overs to get two early dismissals.
Who has Orange and Purple Cap?
After CSK vs RR game, Delhi remained at the top position on the points table. The second in line is Mumbai Indians, followed by Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders at 3rd and 4th place respectively.
KL Rahul continues to keep the Orange Cap with him having amassed a huge 525 runs. He is followed by Mayank Agarwal at the second position. Following him are Faf du Plessis and Shikhar in the 3rd and 4th positions.
The purple cap is with Kagiso Rabada, who has 19 wickets to his name. Next in line is Jasprit Bumrah, with 18 wickets. The next slot in the race of Purple cap is filled by Mohammed Shami, who has 14 dismissals on his name.
