Kumar Sangakkara who is playing his last World Cup became the the first batsman to hit 4 consecutive centuries in not just the World Cup, but also in ODIs.Sangakkara hit 105* against Bangladesh in Melbourne and then followed it up with his fastest ODI century 117* against England in Wellington. He carried his good form against Australia scoring 104 in a losing cause. He made his record against Scotland scoring 124. Sangakkara who led Sri Lanka to the 2011 World Cup final has announced retirement from limited overs format after the tournament and will look forward to say goodbye on a high.
