Preview

In the 67th match of the IPL 2024, Mumbai Indians (MI) will be taking on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The game is set to take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on the 17th of May 2024 at 7:30 PM (IST). This will be a very important match for LSG, as they have to win it at all costs by a huge margin to have any chance of qualifying for the playoffs. MI is already out of the tournament and would be hoping to end the tournament on a good note in front of the home crowd.

LSG made things difficult for themselves in the last two matches by losing against SRH and DC, respectively. In both matches, they should have claimed a win. Instead, they sustained a massive loss against SRH. The loss against DC did not help them either. The match against MI will test their intensity. LSG must win by a huge margin and hope SRH to lose both their matches by a huge margin. Hence, all the players of LSG must come out all guns blazing against the 5-time champions.

The home side will be under no pressure in the match. They are already disqualified from the tournament and would be hoping to spoil the party of the visiting side. In their last match, MI lost to KKR in a rain-affected match. Both the teams have some of the best players in the world in their lineup. LSG has some great names like KL Rahul, Quinton De Kock, Nicholas Pooran, Marcus Stoinis, and so on. MI has the likes of Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and so on.
